How to Access Bulk-Billed Allied Health Services (Up to 5 Sessions per Calendar Year):
Step 1: Visit Your GP
Schedule an appointment with your regular doctor to discuss your ongoing condition and the potential benefits of the required allied health service.
Step 2: Get a CCMP Referral
If eligible, your GP will create a Chronic Condition Management Plan (CCMP) and give you a Medicare referral outlining the allied health support you need.
Step 3: Check Your Referral
Your GP will issue you a referral to Spinex Physiocare. Your referral must:
- Be for the correct allied health profession
- Be dated and signed by your GP
Step 4: Book Your Appointment
When booking, tell us you are using a Medicare CCMP referral and provide the referral before or at your first visit.
Step 5: Attend Your Sessions
- Medicare covers up to 5 allied health sessions per calendar year
- These 5 sessions are shared across all allied health providers
- Eligible sessions at our clinic are bulk billed (no out-of-pocket cost)
Important
- Without a valid GP referral, appointments cannot be bulk billed.
- Eligibility is determined by your GP, not our clinic.
